‘High Tech’ might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Northerns grafting over a lathe to machine bike bits, but you would be so far from the mark. In a factory once used to make scratch cards, CNC machines work 23 hours a day to produce ingots of aluminium of many colours. The enthusiasm is infectious and the scale is something else.
