Media vests eh? What the devil are they? Well – good question – they’re rather tasteful little numbers that the photographers, videographers, pinhole camera operators, sound monkeys and all the other members of the paparazzi get to wear at the HaloBDS this year whilst they document the races. Wearing a vest means that Dave, Si and co trust you enough to let you use their media tent, log on to their internet connection and – best of all – wander unaccompanied into special trackside media zones to get the best angles.
For 2011 we’ll have Jacob Gibbins, Paul Roberts and myself all proudly sporting these as we attempt to bag the best shots and craft the best content all season.
