Photographers shoot thousands of images over a season. Each time they hit the shutter button they’ll rattle off a machine gun like sequence of shots in just a few seconds. Each rider that passes gets sprayed by the photog’s lense and every race, all season will receive the barrage.
Imagine then how hard it is picking one, single image from the thousands and thousands of shots. We asked a small selection of our favourite photographers to do exactly that. Some knew the shot instantly, some agonized for weeks … others (Milky) just cracked under the pressure and made us choose! Either way, we’ve got a handful of the creme of their work in one gorgeous collection!
Here’s what we got. Click the article to read >>

“they’ll rattle off a machine gun like sequence of shots in just a few seconds”…. yeah, that’s the way to do it kids, be like Milky and Keith and spray those riders. However if you want a decent shot, just choose the moment and press the plunger once. Thats how uncle Franz would do it.
Bullshit franz! I’ve seen you! Didn’t you get your camera kitted out with a rifle stock and a grip at the front? Somewhat akin to an m16? Dakadakadaka!
PS – just for the record – I did ask you, about ten times, for an image to go in this!!
how exactly does a photographer (rattle off a machine gun like sequence of shots in just a few seconds)with two remotre flashes set up?
