Plans are on the go for a brand new, massive indoor skate park in Weston Super Mare. .. but they need YOU to make it happen!
It’s going to be called Legends Skatepark. Here’s the low-down:
We aim to design, build and develop the biggest and best Indoor Skatepark and Urban Sports Arena in the South West. As well as an awesome indoor skatepark and cafe, the venue will include many more sub-cultural activities such as a graffiti wall, filming/editing suite, music/recording/dance studio, climbing wall and performance stage.
But, we need YOU – it won’t happen without YOU!!
The Facebook group will form part of our bid for funding, so invite everyone you know!!

We already have a dedicated team of young people committed to turning this dream into a reality. But we are always looking for more (and parents too!!) Weston lacks attractions suitable for young people. Our ultimate aim would be to create a world class indoor urban sports arena, bringing new young blood to the town and putting Weston well and truly on the map as a tourist destination for the youth of today.

Yes – it really is happening!!
Legend Skatepark CIC is now a fully registered Community Interest Company (not-for-profit) Company.
We believe that we have found suitable premises and are due to enter into negotiations shortly.

In competition with other ideas, we recently won the full support and backing of North Somerset Council in submitting a bid for £50,000 of funding from the People’s Million, this is a programme run and delivered by The Big Lottery.
Our local MP John Penrose and newly appointed Minister for Tourism has expressed his heartfelt enthusiasm and support of our project, and I quote “It sounds like a wonderful idea – as you say, we need more venues allowing young people to do something which is both fun and constructive locally”
‘Legend’ merchandise (t-shirts, hoodies, stickers etc) will be available to buy real soon. Every penny we make will go towards the project, so fill your baskets!
We are in the process of making a promo film to include footage and interviews from you guys, in support our cause, and assist in our future funding bids…..will keep you posted on when and where we will be filming next!
