THE 2011 designs

I’ve had a THE One helmet on test all year and have been really happy with the fit, style, protection and price. Top marks as far as I’m concerned.

With that in mind – It’s great to see 2 new designs from THE for 2011. Particularly the intro of a great looking helmet for less than £100. Bargain. Here’s the PR from UK distro Silverfish:

THE Industries release two new helmet designs for 2011 confirming their place as a leader in cycling protection.

THE Industries have always pushed and driven the development of cycling protection through bold designs, innovative features and unique finishes. To design the new 2011 full face helmets THE headed back to the drawing board taking with them both their, and their many pro riders, years of experience. After months of design and testing THE’s designers emerged from the offices of their California facility with the all NEW T2 in hand.

The T2 is THE’s top-of-the-line full face helmet and following on from where its predecessor left off by continuing to offer riders the highest levels of performance and protection. The technologically advanced helmet is both lightweight yet super strong and is available in either a composite or hand laid carbon fibre shell construction. As a completely new design from the ground up the T2 features a reduced silhouette, semi-integrated visor, 17 cooling vents and comes with an extra color-matched visor and durable Cordura nylon helmet bag included in the price.

Once the designers had finished perfecting the T2 they turned their attention to constructing another NEW full face helmet. Sharing much of its attributes and design with the popular THE ‘One’ full face helmet which has graced the top step of podiums the world over, become an iconic design and attracted thousands of fans.

The .5 draws on THE’s vast experience to offer riders high-end performance, great style and maximum protection whilst looking after the wallet. Constructed from an injection-molded ABS shell the .5 features 15 vents, D-ring closure and a washable liner aswell as coming in 4 striking colour options.
