Ladies and gents, introducing the 2011 MRP range, courtesy of Ison’s tea boy/brand manager/World Cup racer Patt CJ.
Patt’s going to talk us through the new range. Here goes:
First up it’s the G2 Lopes. Patt says “Lopes weighs fack all and is designed for 4x and trail bikes that have no need for a bash guard. I’ve never had a need for a bash for 4X and this is MRP’s solution” £115
The G2 Steel. ”The G2 Steel uses the familiar old style mouldings on a new pressed steel backplate to keep the cost down as many people were looking for a cheaper guide. It’s only available in iscg and iscg 05 though (no bb mount).” £74.99
This G2 SL. “G2 SL is a whole new horse, with pretty much every aspect changed over the old one. It’s lighter and stronger and there are limited colours on the way too. It’s sick in real life. They’ve re-designed the backplate to encorporate a new style of bash. It mounts a new, stronger lower guide. The hardware now also has retaining circlips that stop the nut that the bolts screw into in place so its pretty much impossible to lose anything in a field at a race.”
£125
1X guide. “… and the seat tube mounted 1x guide is for the trail bods that can’t run a bb mounted version”.
£74.99
And that’s it! Thanks to Patt. Check out the Ison site for full details on the range here.
