Like it says on the tin – the BDS crew just announced the entry criteria for next season.
If you want to race in 2011 this will tell you what you need to do…
Here is the criteria for 2011
January 1st 2011: Riders with 50 BC points or more get the priority chance to enter.

January 15th 2011: Riders with 1-49 BC points on a first come, first served basis.

Feburary 1st 2011: Riders with a valid BC license and no points, on a first come, first served basis can enter.

Entries for each round are £TBC plus an online booking fee. Dates and venues TBC before 1 November 2010.

Entries will be ONLY available online as stated above: www.Britishdownhillseries.com.

Also no paper entries in 2011 online only.

2010 British Cycling (BC) Points are listed here for you all to have a gander here.

2010 rankings will be updated reguarly by British Cycling. Please note BC update the BC website, not BDS.

Please note the BDS assess your points score by referencing to the BC website.

You are not able to backdate BC points.

You must have a current and valid license before you race and have a photo on the license. Then if you score points at a regional race, the points then get allocated to you.

2010 BC licenses are available now from British Cycling. Purchase your BC license today and start racing, then when you score points early on in the season and if places are still available, you can come and race the British Downhill Series in 2011!

As the main entry system is automated, every riders entry and payment will be logged. We will then systematically go through each entrant and depending on the following criteria will press “Accept” or “Reject”. If you are accepted you will be notified by e-mail ASAP. If you are rejected you will also be notified by e-mail, please note no financial transactions will be processed if you are rejected. Anybody not filling in there BC number or UCI number will be rejected so please make sure you have your number to hand with you use the entry system.
