Hopton Woods held the second round of the Pearce Cycles 2010 Series. The track was super dry and dusty, with a new even rootier top section cut in, the fast riders were the ones who could stick the perfect line and hop the right stumps to get down in the fastest time.

The track then went across the open section, over the familiar step down into the braking bump berm and then down over the final tabletop into the finish line.

Despite having a nightmare trip back from Tenerife after her new team launch, Jess Stone (Trek Gravity Girls) took the win in the Elite Women with a 2.34 and Matt Simmonds (ChainReactionCycles) rode a blinder to cross the line in 2.06, 2.13s faster than 2nd placed Joe Smith. A good weekend for the Wenlock Bikers?
Pearce Cycles seem to have the formula just right for a well run, friendly and laid back weekend of racing with good uplifts and for once the weather played its part too.
