2010 Outland Saddles – first look

Outland (Raleigh) have launched a heap of new saddles for 2010 – including 2 for xc/trailsy stuff and another one for when things get a bit gnarly.

Even better – they’ve fired a selection of the best ones over to us to for a longterm test in the mag. Here’s a quick intro to what’s in the line up…

First up is the El Ray VC – an affordable xc/trail seat

This one comes with Cromo rails, a nylon (plasticy) base,  kevlar corners and a leather cover. Outland’s weight it 260gs.

This one will set you back £29.99

Next is the much posher El Ray LT…

This is the same shape as the cheaper VC but comes with a white leather cover, hollow ti rails and a carbon fibre base.  Both the LT and the VC are new designs for 2010 and come equipped with ‘wings’ and cut out sections to keep your ‘special’ bits comfy.  Weight is 240gs.

The LT is £49.99

Last but not least, it’s the Mountain Man

This is another brand new one for 2010 and is aimed at much more aggro riding than the other two. It’s designed to be slim to make sliding off the back easy but with a wide nose to help with climbing. It comes with hollow ti rails and weighs in at 253g’s.

This one is £39.99

Keep an eye on Wideopenmag for an update on all of these once they’ve had a beasting. Check out Raleigh’s Cyclelife site if you want to see more.
