First Look: Propain Spindrift and MSC Vendetta
There’s a lot to be said for picking a bike that suits your local trails – if you don’t ride monster big hills every weekend why not ride a bit less travel?
MSC and Propain are both releasing ‘mini-dh’ bikes for 2010 and both look like a lot of fun.
MSC’s offering is the brand new 2010 Vendetta – 170 or 180mm, short chain stays, Â Boxxer race up front and really light (Steve Parr says!).
And from Ze German company Propain you’ve got the all new Spindrift, the little brother of their Rage DH bike.
The SPINDRIFT is born. PROPAIN introduces its Freeride flagship. Available now in a very limited pre-production edition. Mass production frames and complete bikes are available in Summer 2010.
Features:
- 180mm travel
- Hammerschmidt ready
- Maxxle axle
- Tapered head tube
- Hydroforming tube set
- Quadruple butted downtube
- Colors: electric green or polished
- Exchangable Stickerkits available (black or tequilla)
- 215mm shock length
With any luck we’ll be testing the MSC and the Vendetta right here on Wideopen… Maybe a Steve Parr vs Wayne Tabernor head to head supertest?!
In the mean time check out MSC here and Propain here.
Stay tuned…

That polished Spindrift looks lurvely. Any idea of pricing for either of these?
TBC apparently… I’ll post ‘em up when Steve and Wayne let me know!
like Jamie says prices are TBC on the propain. The spindrifter and Rage DH bike will be available to demo at all rounds of the Pearce Cycles series and the British Downhill Series, Or for a private test please contact me on 07789723621 or info@2twenty0.co.uk
