Sam Pilgrim – Pilgrimage

It’s really cool to see riders taking trips to countries that we don’t get to see a lot of.
One of those countries that has massive potential is Japan. Since the World Cup on Arai Mountain back in 2001, we haven’t really seen anything from one of the most developed countries in the world.

Why companies like Shimano, who are based out of Japan haven’t campaigned (considering they were the title sponsor last year) to get a World Cup round back there I’ll never know. I know it would be a bit of a logistical nightmare,  but the market potential there is massive.

Anyway, Sam Pilgrim shows in this edit that there is definitely a riding scene there that is worth reaching out to!

Oh, and 500 potential bike resorts? Sign me up.
