Great news – we’ve not even fully announced the team and we’ve already won our first podium!
Sure, it wasn’t a huge event but we’re all celebrating over here as Jay Williamson just bagged first place at the Outlaw Riders Timed Session last weekend at Yettington in Exmouth. Better still, he did it on his XC bike!
Here’s a word from the man himself -
“Great day at a fun local race in the south west, we raced two tracks with two race runs on each. Both tracks were sub 40secs so times were always going to be really close between riders!
I’m still waiting on my 2012 race bike so ended up racing on the XC bike . I was really pleased with all four of my runs and kept four consistent times, stayed smooth on the bike and ended up taking the win on both tracks. It was a good days riding for me. Thanks to all of those involved - it was a good one!”
Jay is riding for the Wideopenmag downhill team in 2012 and will be racing the Halo BDS and some IXS Cup events. We’ll be announcing the rest of the team and its sponsors in the next week.
