I first met Roo a few years back at Fort William at my first ever World Cup. I didn’t really know who he was and didn’t really appreciate that he was ‘kind of a big deal’. He was however a thoroughly nice chap to us noobs and struck me as someone who was totally in love with photography, the bike industry and the outdoors in general. I remember we all returned to the campsite one afternoon to find Roo smugly sat on the floor chilling having just “popped up Ben Nevis for a walk”! Definitely a guy that seemed to just love ‘being there’.
I’ve not really seen much of him in the flesh since then but have always been amazed by the quality of his work and how prolific he is in the big media publications…
Anyway – here’s a 2011 wrap up vid from the man himself.
Roo – give us a shout if you’re reading this – we’d love to get some of your work in Wideopenmag!
