video: Stanton Bikes and Wideopenmag at the 2011 Bristol Oktoberfest

The Bristol Oktoberfest is an EXCELLENT day out of bicycle racing that we took part in last weekend. It’s an 8 hour team event that pits you and 3 buddies against a fast, bermy, action packed single track loop.

The Stanton Bikes guys were looking to put their new Slackline bike through its paces at a pedally race so we invited them down to Bristol to get stuck in, see how the bike would cope with an XC race and to party our way through 8 hours of single track racing.

Peaty gets interviewed

It turns out that the Stanton boys actually beat our arses pretty soundly with a 26th place and left us wallowing mid-pack. Whatever, we had a blast, raced our bikes hard all day and made this video. Hopefully you can tell how much fun we had from the vid!

Dance for beer kids. Dance for beer.

Cheers to the Oktoberfest crew, to Ant, Paddy and Jay for repping for Wideopenmag and to the Stanton boys for giving us some great banter all day long!

No one escaped the mega phone from the WO pits

Massive thanks as ever to Paul “works better after a few cans” Roberts for crafting another banger of a video!
