Redfest at Redhill Extreme!

If you’ve got a 2 wheel and you aren’t at the BDS there’s only 1 place to be this weekend, Redfest! Redhill Extreme are holding their first stand alone weekend this Saturday and Sunday to raise some funds to buy a start gate for the hill and with the combination of the Redhill atmosphere and some non serious racing it’s shaping up to be a pretty epic weekend!

Saturday see’s some light hearted action with a timed pump race down the beginner line from 1-3pm followed by the 4x uplift running for 2 hours. From 7pm starts the grass track dual racing and after this weeks Wednesday evening antics on it I’m not sure what’s going to be more fun racing it or watching it! 2 Lanes snaking down the hill with a mix of tight and fast flat turns and the possibility of rain adds up to some massive drifts, some big wipeouts, lots of grass stains and a really good laugh.

Being in the west country I’m sure Saturday night will see many a cider being consumed and good times with the local yokels!

Sunday is the big one with a full day of 4X racing and after a winter of digging it promises to throw up some good race action with plenty of moves to be pulled all over the place. The local boys are have been up there ‘practicing’ lines and just the first 3 corners could give us more passing than a game of pass the parcel in Baghdad!

Anyone who’s ever wanted to have a go at 4x, have a go at any kind of racing or just watch some people make fools of themselves sliding down a hill should get over and be part of it!
