British 4X series Rd3 Results

The British 4X series stopped off today at the world class facility in Afan Forest Park. The damp weather postponed first practice, but eventually practice and racing got underway, with the track slowly evolving from stupidly slippery, to annoyingly tacky, to surprisingly quick (but hard work).

The big stories are that Scott Beaumont is finally beaten – he took himself out in the final after the first corner. Pat Campbell-Jenner was pushing all day and held off an onslaught from Nathan Parsons (who crashed trying to get past, finished third) and took a very well earned win. Billy Cheetham came second.

Nichola Anderson fought and eventually beat Charlotte Green into second, Suzanne Lacey third and Jess Greaves fourth.

Wideopen team rider Alastair Keen did us proud with a 5th place in senior! Stoked dude (I broke my bike taking out Jethro Stride in the first moto…!). Dave Roberts won, Robbie Rickman second. Stay tuned to the mag for a full report.

Tomorrow sees round three of the Euro 4X series at the same track, if you’re in the area go check it out, Europe’s fastest 4X racers on our fair Isle!
