Scott Shepherd was airlifted to hospital last sunday after a massive crash at the British 4X series at PORC in Kent. Since then, the support from riders and non-riders alike has been nothing short of phenomenal. There are 331 members on the facebook group ‘Scott Shepherd get well soon,’ people have donated hundreds of pounds to the air ambulance, people have changed their profile pictures to a tin of beans (Scott races is a Heinz Beanz race shirt)…and everyone is chipping in with support in whatever way they can.
Up-and-coming photographic/videographic talent Duncan Philpott put together this mint little edit:
The good news is Scott was brought off the ventilator recently, and is now breathing for himself, which is a massive positive step, but there’s still a long long way to go. From everyone here at wideopen, we just want to say a massive get well soon Scott, we’re all rooting for you, can’t wait to see you back on a bike.
